Barcelona Global 4th Hola Barcelona! Cocktails
Barcelona Fun Science Founder, Rachel, had a fantastic time at the Barcelona Global 4th Hola Bcn! cocktails event on Thursday 15th September. This incredible free event is designed to welcome new international talent to the city, with great keynote speeches from Barcelona Mayor Ada Colau and Founder of prominent co-working and creative space, MOB Barcelona, Cecilia Tham among many others.
Rachel had the opportunity to dress up fancy and meet an amazing range of people; she was asking CEOs for mentorship advice, building our network of US teambuilding & play-workshops for adults contacts, making friends with investors and VCs to ask their entrepreneurship advice, and having a great time with our pals from the communications department at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (watch this space for a fab collaboration in the works).
She also had some great conversations about the nature of science communcation for adults, and our industry-changing work with Barcelona Fun Science - with more than 1000 people in attendance, she was definitely kept busy with fascinating conversations in between trips to the cheese table!
